The data released by the ABS has caused many ute owners to reconsider their ownership of a large utilitarian work vehicle during the current period of increasing fuel prices. Westpac business analyst, Mark Goddard (24), revealed this week that driving his 2016 Toyota Hilux WorkMate into the city everyday uses more petrol than the rest of the 90-person office combined. "I know it's wasteful", Mark said, "but the ute was handy 4 years ago to carry boxes when I moved house".
