England cricket board swear Steve Smith is at least 1/16th English in hope to appoint him as captain

After Joe Root stood down as captain of the English cricket team last week, the board has begun a deep dive into the history of Steve Smith in hopes to pluck him from the Australian side. The only information they have released is that they 'swear' he is at least 1/16th English based on the fact that his last name is the most common in the country. If they don't get Smith, we expect them to put their sights on Labuschagne, being that he was born in the strong English cricket country of South Africa.
