IT'S TIME!!!: After the rise of Australian UFC stars since the pandemic, including the dominant Lightweight Champion, Alex Volkanovski, and Heavyweight fan-favourite, Tai Tuivasa, its influence was always going to extend to other sports. That is what we witnessed during Wednesday nights State of Origin, with NSW representative Matt Burton facing Queensland veteran Dane Gagai in a classic brawl. However, the dismal performance from both fighters resulted in them being sent away from the Octagon, and back to the gym to refine their wrestling and hooks.
