A DARK PAST: As Minions: The Rise of Gru hits cinemas, animation studio Illumination has announced another prequel to the hit franchise. The Rise of Gru is set in the 1970s, however, the question of which villain the minions served before Gru remains unanswered. The third movie will aim to resolve this, taking it all the way back to the Second World War, between 1939 and 1945. It has yet to be announced which villain from this era will be featured in the movie, but fans await eagerly as more details arise.
