NRL referees set compulsory sin bin quotas ahead of magic round

As an NRL referee, it is vital to ensure that the game is run fairly for both teams. However, as magic round approaches, referees have been mandated to utilise the most important game-ruining feature, sin bins. Following the 14 sin bins and 3 send-offs in magic round last year, the NRL referee boss wishes to double that number. “2022 is the year of breaking records, and this is an easy record to break. We have three days and eight games to do so”. Players have been warned that they can be sent off for scoring too many tries, knocking on easy catches and not kicking past 10m on kick-off.
