Netflix to release shows with 60-second episodes due to Tik Tok causing severe drop in young people's attention span
SHORT BUT SWEET: Tik Tok's meteoric rise in popularity has forced its competitors to adopt the unique short-form video format, such as with Instagram and their Reels feature. These short videos have shown to have reduced the attention span in young people when compared to previous generations. Netflix has announced that they will be capitalising on this by releasing their new TV series' in 60 second episodes, as it will be the most engaging to this demographic. Plans have also been made to convert the existing Netflix catalogue to this new format.
