That's it, I said it, this new Top Gun movie is a pile of shit. Now that I've said that, let me explain why I think this without having seen this movie or its even shittier predecessor. The main problem is that I don't even need to see this movie to know exactly what the plot of this movie will be. It is as follows: there is a threat, current pilots are no match, they need Maverick (Tom Cruise) to help them face the threat, the pilots couldn't care less about an out of toucher boomer, threat becomes real, people die, pilots suddenly must listen to Maverick to save day. Day is saved. Boom, shit movie. 1.142/5 Magpie Swoops.
