Charles Leclerc has decided to take a short break from racing after suffering from Ferrari mistakes, as in the past seven races he has suffered 2 DNFs and only finished on the podium once. This has come after an unsatisfactory 4th at the 2022 British Grand Prix, as Ferrari held him behind Sainz for what could be seen as too long, and also failing to pit under the safety car, losing the advantage he has built up. Leclerc has stated that this break 'will be long enough, but not too long', and sources state that it may only last 4 days until the Austrian Grand Prix next weekend.
