On an online discussion board, music fan, Brendan Murphy, announced that he believes Nine Inch Nails would realistically be too long, and that something more modest, such as five inches, is just as effective. He stated the band could have chosen a name that more accurately represents the average nail size, as to not instill any unnecessary pressure in shorter nails to perform their job. We have reached out to frontman, Trent Reznor, for a comment on the matter and are awaiting a response.
