While the effectiveness of remastering a book is still up for debate, it is undeniable that the extended edition of the books will be a straight upgrade to what was previously on offer from A Song of Ice and Fire. Each book will almost certainly contain more sex, more plotlines, hundreds more pages of pointless exposition and most importantly more money for George R.R Martin who after 11 years still refuses to release the next book in the series. What's not to love!
