Anthony Albanese and Jacinda Ardern meet to debate which country owns Lamingtons

THE GREAT DEBATE: After many heated discussions online over the origins of Lamingtons, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese have agreed to meet in Sydney to settle this debate once and for all. Affirmative speaker, Jacinda Ardern opened up her argument claiming, “Lamingtons were actually invented in New Zealand and were originally named a ‘Wellington’.” Keen to defend this position, Anthony Albanese came up with some quick rebuttal pointing out that, “The lamington was created by chef of the Queensland state’s eighth governor, Lord Lamington.” Unfortunately, the two prime ministers have failed to put aside their differences and will meet again next week to debate the topic of whether Keith Urban is a New Zealander or Australian?
